“Associate Lawyer specialized in Regulatory Law and Patents”
Carmen is an associate attorney in the Department of Regulatory Law. She is currently responsible for the Sanitary Registration, Sanitary License, Industrial Registration and Environmental License procedures for local and international clients. Similarly, she assists clients in matters of Intellectual Property in the field of registration, maintenance of trademarks and trade names, as well as administrative conflicts in said area, collaborating with various multinational companies for the protection of their Intellectual Property portfolios at a national and international level.
She graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) where she obtained her Law Degree (2015). Her degree project was titled “Critical Analysis of the Control System of Political Party Financing in the Dominican Republic.” In 2017, Carmen obtained her diploma as a Specialist in Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law from the Higher Institute for Defense (INSUDE) of the Ministry of Defense of the Dominican Republic, after defending her postgraduate project “Right to housing as protection of Human Dignity in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic”.
Additionally, in 2019 she completed her second degree in International Relations with a mention in Foreign Trade at the Universidad del Caribe (UNICARIBE).
Carmen is a member of the Bar Association of the Dominican Republic.
